Insert cell tool bar . Deleting columns and rows A single or multiple columns or rows can be deleted. All spreadsheets have some specific number of rows and columns, then how can you insert an additional row or column. Is this possible?

Technically this is NOT POSSIBLE. Additional column, row or even cell cannot be inserted in any spreadsheet. When you insert a column or row, the contents within the column or row will be shifted to the next column or row. But visually it is felt that a new column or row has been inserted.

Inserting a new Column or row is really possible in a Spreadsheet? . . Delete single column or row A single column or row can be deleted by using the mouse: Select the column or row to be deleted.

Choose Edit →Delete Cells from the menu bar. (Or) Right-click on the column or row header. Choose Delete Columns or Delete Rows from the pop-up menu. .

. Delete multiple columns or rows Multiple columns or rows can be deleted at a time. Refer Figure . Chapter Select the required columns or rows for deletion.

Right-click on the selected columns or row. Choose Delete Columns or Delete Rows from the pop-up menu or Edit → Delete Cells. . Open the spreadsheet which was created in Illustration .

. Delete the details of any students. Save the changes and close the file. Practical Practice: Same as inserting column or row, Deleting a column or row is also not possible.

No one can delete any column or row in a spreadsheet. When you delete a column or row, all the contents will be removed from the column or row. Actually, this is also another kind of deleting
