precipitation goes on decreasing from west to east in the plains and from north to south in the mountains. The average winter rainfall in Delhi is around mm. In Punjab and Bihar, rainfall remains between mm and mm respectively. Central parts of India and northern parts of southern Peninsula also get winter rainfall occasionally.
