. POLITE REQUESTS While reporting -  use ask me + infinitive Ex. “Close the window.” She asked me to close the window. “Could you bring my luggage to- night?” She asked me to bring her luggage that night.

“Would you mind coming early this evening?” My aunt asked me to come early that evening. “Please don’t be late.” She asked me not to be late. . IMPERATIVE SENTENCES WITH ‘LET’ While reporting,  ‘Let’ should be changed to ‘suggested’ or ‘proposed” Ex.

Reporting verb in the present/ future When the reporting verb is in the present/ future tense the tense in the Direct speech does not change.
