Development Communication This field employs a variety of media and communication techniques to address issues like information dissemination and education, behavior change, social marketing, media advocacy, communication for social change, and participatory development communication. Thus, this field has a wide scope in terms of content and use. Undertaking training, advisory and action projects that help build up the communication capabilities and resources of people in the development process also fall in the scope of study. A development communication specialist can take up a variety of career paths in the social sector like media houses, government and non- government organisations.

Since large scale projects are run by Government departments with the help of international agencies, employment opportunities are satisfying both economically and psychologically.
