. (I) On the Job Training On the job training refers to the training which is given to the employee at the work place by his immediate supervisor. In an other words the employee learns the job in the actual work environment. It is based on the principle of “Learning by Doing and Learning While Earning”.

On the job training is suitable for imparting skills that can be learnt in a relatively short period of time. The following are the on the job training methods.
